U15s TOURNAMENT AT COLWYN BAY 12.10.08
Colwyn bay hosted a busy day of girls rugby at both u15 and u18 level in the sunshine.
Bangor Oswestry Waterloo and Tilsley all combined to create "the pink team" and played their first game against Colwyn Bay 1st team. Despite "the pinks " never having played as a team before they put on an excellent display of running rugby with some outstanding individual performances. Rhian (Bangor) scored the pinks only try with Colwyn bay scoring one try in return.
The second game against Colwyn bay 2nds again produced some exciting rugby with some outstanding tackling and defence and five tries were scored by "the pinks" with Colwyn Bay scoring two in return.
The third game was the North Wales u15 squad against "the rest of the world"! This game was closely scrutinised by the new North Wales coach who was pleased with the performance of the squad although "the rest of the world " proved strong opposition
Congratulations to Rhian Llinos and Cara for being chosen for the u15s and Beth and Emma for the u18s North Wales squads. Well done girls you have done Bangor ladies proud and we hope that many more players will follow in your footsteps.
