TOUCH RUGBY FOR ALL

What made you want to start touch rugby at Bangor?

Adam Hardman - I used to attend every Wednesday evening a really good touch rugby session at Macc rugby club. I also played in a couple of tournaments in London with a load of Anzacs. Touch rugby allows my knackered body to keep fit, keep a level of skill and be involved in a team sport with people who enjoy a laugh and are competitive, its also a way of getting more involved with the club and attracting people to the club which should be a nucleus in the community.

What is your involvement in the club?

I am one of 4 coaches involved with the little stars in the mini rugby section of the club. Little stars is the entry point for 3-6 year olds getting their first taste of rugby in a safe environment where the parents are also encouraged to take part. We teach the children communication skills,  and all the elements of  being able to compete in a tag rugby game by the time they go into the under 7s category within the club.
