Under 11 Win in New Kit

Bangor U11 42 - 28 Pwllheli

Bangor U11 had their first game of the new season, a home fixture against Pwllheli. Before the game Bangor were presented with their new kits by Ken Grayson of Peninsula Home Improvements, who sponsor the team.

The game was very competitive and played in a great spirit, both teams had to battle with the difficult weather conditions, and played some excellent rugby.

Bangor raced to an early 21-0 lead with try's from Cian Owen and Zac Mckenzie, with Mckenzie converting for the extra points.

Pwllheli replied with 2 try of their own before half time to make the score 21-14 at the break.

Early in the second half Cian Owen scored again, his direct and strong running causing a few problems for the opposition defence. Both teams then worked hard to secure the ball, with some very hard work from the Bangor forwards, Luke Parry making a real nuisance of himself and stealing the ball from the opposition in the rucks.

At this point the game could of gone either way, with the score being 28 all. Bangor then pulled away with 2 more try's, an individual try  from Zac Mckenzie who returned a long defensive kick from his own half to put the home team ahaead. Lastly a slick passing move from the backs allowed Sam Kargiotis to slide over in the corner to make the final score, 42-28 to Bangor.

A great start to the season for both clubs, players and supporters. Bangor U11 train on a Thursday night at 6pm and are looking to recruit new players to the squad.
