Bangor 12 - 61 Denbigh

WRU DIVISION 2 N

SATURDAY OCTOBER 14th

BANGOR 12 – DENBIGH 61

pite another heavy defeat Bangor can take some positives from this game because they dominated the first half forcing their visitors to defend for most of the period. Full back Dan Cranham playing his first game of the season provided some confidence in defence and Tristan Thomas at scrum half provided a good service from the forwards to the backs. With good line throws and few penalties Bangor got two well deserved tries through forwards Mikey Roberts and then Kevin Roberts with Nick Dundee adding a conversion. Denbigh however exposed their defensive weaknesses when they got hold of the ball and broke out for three converted tries to lead 12 – 21 at the break.

Bangor continued to hold their own for a period at the restart but with injuries and some tired legs the dam burst and Denbigh had lots of ball to move around and scored another 6 tries.

Denbigh’s try  scorers were Gruff Roberts (2), Mathew Holse, Kieran Bonar, Dan O’Sullivan, Chris Forshawe, Narmer el Lamie and Tom Seddon who also converted 8 tries.
