Bangor put in a greatly improved performance against Nant 2nds and deserved to take more from the game. Both teams played skilfully and with full commitment and it took 25 minutes before Nant opened the score with a converted try, the only score of the first half. Nant proved the more successful team in holding on to their ball and dispossessing Bangor and they added a second try soon after the restart when their left winger crossed in the corner. Bangor responded taking the ball up to the 22m line and captain Calvin Williams, now a second row forward, gathered and went over for a try converted by full back Harry Powell Jones. Late in the half Bangor had a defensive lapse and Nant were able to run in two quick converted tries before Bangor regathered their form and ended the game pressing for a try but could not get over the line. Harry Powell Jones had an outstanding game at full back with some powerful runs from deep and good clearance kicks.
